Work starts on the pod of Brighton’s i360

NEWS: The next stage in the construction of Brighton’s i360 has begun.

Work on the giant 46 million pound tower was completed earlier this year.

And now the pieces of the pod that will lift people up to the top are being fixed together – as these exclusive images show.

The giant container was created in France before being brought to the site near the West Pier.

Now workmen have to complete the painstaking work of piecing the whole thing together.

Construction is expected to finish next month ahead of opening in spring.
