Ed Byrne – Looking In
Routines about bad dates, bad gigs and being a father were never going to win prizes for comic originality but proving the cliché that there are no such things as hack topics, only hack comedians, Ed Byrne gave a masterclass in accessible comedy. Byrne’s energetic and informal delivery hides strong writing and ideas; a real gem being the routine about the hang ups he wants to pass on to his kids. Ably supported by Tiff Stevenson, this was a strong show that would equally appeal to both seasoned aficionados and those who’ve never seen live comedy before.
