Kevin Bridges – A Whole Different Story
It’s a joy to see a performer with such a practised ease of delivery, sauntering onto the stage and batting back an affectionate heckle about his weight loss. Bridges is a little older and a little wiser, he has a house in a ‘posh’ part of Glasgow and the struggles that are charmingly recognisable – of married friends seizing the day on nights out, along with the maze of click-holes hijacking a day after a chance meeting with a neighbour and their unusually named dog. Some laughter may have been lost in the high ceiling of the beautiful venue, but the show was warmly received and charmingly constructed – even the random tangents that displayed Bridges’ comedic bones excellently as he balanced confusion with punchlines adeptly. A true pro.
