Ash

Gig listings may be becoming increasingly cluttered with nineties bands living off former glories, but there’s nothing wrong with the occasional nostalgia kick… Especially when it’s as good as this. Despite approaching their forties, Ash have somehow managed to maintain their youthful energy and dynamism, demonstrated to full effect as they thundered through a surprisingly abundant selection of hits (so surprising in fact, that I thought “Oh, I forgot about this one…” over and over). While some of the songs from their new album Kablammo! fell a little flat, there’s no doubting that Ash remain a force to be reckoned with.
