Josh Widdicombe – What Do I Do Now
The Devon boy done good. Josh Widdicombe has an easygoing rapport with his audience, pacing the laughs deftly as he chatted with the crowd and then launched himself into the show proper, with the modern frustrations that take him into that familiar squeaky octave. A consummate gag writer, Widdicombe conveys that difficult manchild/grown-up straddling period, as stag dos introduce odd new characters, and old friends refuse to grow up with their behaviour. It’s a time-lapse Brightonians are all too familiar with. A great performer, a marvellous show, a highly enjoyable Christmas outing treat.
