Austentatious
In Austentatious improv group the Milk Monitors improvise a whole play based on a book title suggested by the audience. Tonight’s was ‘Glorious grapefruit and other recipes’, quickly spun into a hilarious tale of an heir to a greengrocer fortune, fitting in everything from physical comedy to digs at Google’s tax affairs.
Graham Dickson particularly shone as an egg-obsessed father that had the audience bent double, but the whole group had excellent chemistry. Together they created a show that was arguably better than many written comedies, and is well worth going back for a second time next time they come around.
