I’m sorry I Haven’t A Clue
Perhaps more of an institution than a show, this extraordinary piece of British radio entertainment and history is on tour. Not recording a new series but a “Best Of’ style event that draws a massive audience of dedicated fans that are there to lap up the lashings of wit, innuendo and silliness that makes up the format. I lapped it up too, Jeremy Hardy was joyously funny, especially when singing, Barry Cryer never fails to bring a smile as does Tim Brook Taylor and Miles Jupp, a newcomer, is very funny. Jack Dee chairs the whole with dour wit and Colin Sell is the butt of many a joke at the piano. It’s a wonderful confection of British comedic charm that for the most part works well although at times it feels too rehearsed and dare I say it contrived but what the heck, this is classic fun.
