Police arrest Brighton man after “gun waving” reports
A man seen waving a gun around in front of terrified residents on a busy Brighton street has been arrested by police.
Armed officers rushed to Stanford Avenue, Brighton, last night after a reports of a man waving a handgun.
Shortly after six thirty pm they arrested a man.
Officers also searched a property on the road, and later confirmed they recovered a BB gun.
A Sussex Police spokesman said the arrest had been made safely and without violence about 20 minutes after they were called to the scene.
