Lancing teenager in hospital after being hit by car on A27

A teenage girl is in a serious condition after being hit by a car on a busy dual carriageway in Lancing.

The 15-year-old is believed to have been crossing the A27 near to the junction with Manor Road at around 8.30pm on Friday.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the grey VW Golf, a 20-year-old man from Worthing, was not injured.

Any witnesses are urged to contact police.
