The Maydays

On arrival at the Studio in the Komedia in Brighton the audience members were offered a copy of The Argus to tear out funny or interesting stories in order for the Maydays to use in their act. Once on stage the Maydays set about warming up the audience by asking them to get to know their neighbours and offering declarations of love.

The scenes, dictated by The Argus clips, were laugh-out loud funny, totally bizarre, or saw them burst into song. There is always the worry that things will go wrong but the Maydays managed to keep the audience laughing even when things seemed to go awry.
