Blancmange
The maiden aunts of electronic music continue to plow their own prolific furrow with a new tour in support of their third album release in two years. With so much great new material they have no need to join the ’80s revival festivals and it was testament to this that the first hit of their set appeared half way in after an opening selection of dark electronica from new album Commuter 23. Frontman Neil Arthur was a bundle of nervous energy and mischief throughout an evening of throbbing industrial dance music with electric guitar adding a rockier edge to a vibrant performance.
