Heath Quartet

Tchaikovsky’s chamber music is full, rich, and technically dazzling. This soulful and vigorous suite of movements were set loose in the sun-drenched high ceilings of the Corn Exchange, the scene for a decadent ‘Strings Attached’ coffee concert. The Heath Quartet are known for their dynamism, and the musicianship was very expressive and engaging, but so were the taut and swaying bodies of the performers dancing in slow motion to their bowing arms. At times the whole body was a bow. Beautiful and very moving.
