Night
If you get the opportunity to experience the music of ‘Night’, take it. A beautiful harmony of voices, phonic layering and rhythmic impulse. The story telling narratives of their compositions were powerful, the pieces given just enough context and a place from which to be heard. Nepal, the sweet within the bitter. Each multi-instrumentalist added their rich contribution, passing instruments and musical phrases around between them to craft a very dynamic set. The humility of the other musicians was set off by the playfulness of the fig leaf playing dynamo who danced and called out his excitement with abandon. Joyful!
