The party was well under way courtesy of DJ Mike Panteli’s disco selection before the ’80s disco trio appeared to a fevered reception. Former Soul Train dancer Jeffrey Daniel was in great shape, considering he and fellow original member Howard Hewett, are now in their 60s, and displayed his bodypopping skills and trademark backslide throughout the greatest hits set. New member Carolyn Griffey’s soulful vocals added weight to the performance and she shone with her cover of Natalie Cole’s This Will Be during an otherwise overlong and often bizarre half hour tribute medley before the show ended fittingly with A Night To Remember.
