Stricter restrictions in place after Shoreham Airshow

Airshows across the UK are to face stringent restrictions following the Shoreham crash in August.

It comes as the Civil Aviation Authority released it’s final report into the disaster which saw a Hunter Hawker aircraft crash and left 11 people dead.

The headline recommendation was that display pilots can get stressed performing in front of crowds.

The CAA said they will give pilots training to prevent more tragedies like the Shoreham Airshow disaster.

A further 12 recommendations were made – one of which will see the banning of jets from performing below 500ft.

A final report from the AAIB is not expected until the summer.
