Comedy: Whoa – we’re halfway there!
Awork in progress is so much more than a hot mess of ideas. It’s pure, unreconstructed shiny gold sticking out of wall, as people who really know what they’re doing (more than your mate who goes up to comics and tells them half a story with the offer, “you can use that in your next show if you like!”) take us on a guided tour of some of the best goldmines in the country. This is better than the jewellers with their polish. This is adventure.
With that in mind, it’s a true joy to see some of the names set to previewing new shows at the Caroline Of Brunswick over the next few months, all at less than a tenner and some at no cost at all.
This month welcomes Holly Burn and Jon Richardson, as well as Michael Legge and Danielle Ward. May sees the Brighton Fringe interspersed with new material from the likes of Romesh Ranganathan, Steve Bugeja, Rachel Parris, Paul McCaffrey, Larry Dean, Ellie Taylor and John Taylor. And looking forward to June and July we can greet the likes of Lucy Porter, James Acaster, Sarah Callaghan, Zoe Lyons, Phil Nichol, Carol Donnelly and Joel Dommett. Book now to make sure you can get a seat in the gold-mining tour.
