Hunt on for crook who robbed Brighton taxi driver at knifepoint

A taxi driver was robbed at knife point by a passenger in Brighton.

Police are on the hunt for this man after the incident in the early hours of Monday morning.

At around 12.50am a man got into the back of a taxi on the Old Steine, Brighton.

He asked the driver to take him to Abbey Road but during the journey directed him to Sudeley Place where the taxi stopped.

On asking for the fare, the man held a knife to the driver’s face and grabbed his money bag.

He made off with about £90.
