Saltdean Lido swimming pool opening delayed till Easter

Plans to re-open the Saltdean Lido’s swimming pool are still on track – despite the opening being pushed back to Easter.

Local campaigners have raised millions of pounds to fund work on the Grade two star listed attraction.

But plans to open the heated swimming pool this summer have been pushed back – after a dispute over power supply with the city council and the British weather.

Work is ongoing and plans for the restoration of the lido building are set to be submitted to the council within the next couple of months.
