Casual Violence – Slow Fade To Bleak

Mixing the dark with the absurd whilst always keeping several eyes on the punchlines, comedy sketch group Casual Violence have gathered together a highly enjoyable collection of vignettes, that clearly started with that all-important question ‘why?’ and then went tripping off into their own magical dark forest for answers. From the over-achieving Innocent smoothie mango-turner to Humphrey Bogart monopolising, via miracle hair-restoring promises, there’s an insatiable curiosity only satisfied by the slightly sinister married with the enjoyably ridiculous. One or two sketches went on slightly longer than needed, but that is easily dismissed when the rest are so engagingly and laugh-out-loud immersive.
