Comedy: Rumour has it…
With the Brighton Fringe going on all month, it’s a good idea to keep your ear to the ground with regards to shows that create a buzz early in the run.
One such vibrating hot ticket is Jane Postlethwaite’s ‘Made In Cumbria’ show. With two packed shows earlier in the Brighton Fringe, the Lamb Comedy at Nowhere Man character treat is returning this coming Friday and Saturday. A little bit dark, funny, thought-provoking, unusual and completely engaging throughout, it’s worth catching Jane in this small venue for maximum enjoyment.
Last year two highlights of my Edinburgh Fringe experience were the shows from Steve Bugeja and John Hastings. This week both of these comedians have new works in progress playing in the Brighton Fringe, and as they’re not yet fully formed not only will you be able to see ‘under the hood’ at the comic’s working and creating methods, but they’re also free (although a donation in the bucket when you leave is always welcome). Both are playing at the Caroline Of Brunswick, with Hastings’ show on Friday and Saturday, and Bugeja’s on Monday and Tuesday.
