Nangle Natters: More than words

Hmph. It’s a noise I find myself using increasingly. In fact, noises in general are stepping up as a great alternative to clear diction and a varied vocabulary in my esteem. They communicate so much, nuances dancing in the tone and volume that skit along from mild dissatisfaction to all out approach of war on the horizon.
Equally, there are sounds that can resonate with satisfaction and general happiness with the world – although for some reason they turn out to be more difficult to spell.
There’s an intimacy in the rejection of words, language, and general articulation. Blowing raspberries at babies (and good friends) blows the cobwebs away and fosters an atmosphere of fun and frolics. A growl can be playful and a feral warning not to get too close – and we’ve all heard those screams in the night that unless followed by a peal of laughter can hint at a great big story of late night shenanigans getting a little too out of hand.
So I’m hanging up my words for the greater good. As well as a dollop of curiosity as to what kind of reply might come back.
