It’s one of the most famous operas around. Georges Bizet’s classic Carmen tells the story a Spanish gypsy girl, who decides to make a soldier fall in love with her, even though he already has a girlfriend.

But this version is different. It’s an all-MALE version, with Carmen as a young gay man. With adult LGBT themes, nudity, sex scenes and violence, not surprisingly, it’s playing to packed houses in Brighton Fringe.
