Comedy: Let them eat cake…

It’s been a long time since Sarah Millican headlined Sidesplitters over at The Providence on Western Road, with tickets costing just £3 on the door on a Sarah-Millican-4Sunday. The venue is now a Co Op, and Ms Millican – in the ten years since that gig – has gone from strength to strength, with radio, TV and awards, the most recent of which was from comedy industry standard Chortle for the website she was involved in the launch of – Standard Issue.
So Sarah Millican is not a lady to let the grass grow under her feet. Which is handy as in this, her latest show, she is venturing ‘outside’. And it’s not just for a cake picnic.
For three nights Sarah Millican will take up residence at the Brighton Dome’s Concert Hall and explain how certain things have changed in her life. She now has ‘outside slippers’ and can tell the difference between a chaffinch and a tit, although not between an owl and her husband’s asthma.
More finely tuned, spot-on comic material and ponderings of the high calibre we have come to expect from Ms Millican. Welcome back.
