Comedy: Bent In Shape
One of the many advantages to having a longstanding monthly comedy night hosted by the ever-growing-in-profile-and-accolades Zoe Lyons, is that the comedians she gets on are striving too keep up with her. So they’re pretty top notch.
This month is a real treat as the calibre is so high it’s tricky to work out who’s headlining, as every one of them is already breaking through to the small screen mainstream whist keeping their own comedic voices.
Lou Sanders is quirky, off kilter and generally bonkers – in a good way. She supported Katherine Ryan last year, which might give you a clue as to her influences.
Tom Allen is familiar to many BBC Radio 4 fans as the voice of Pip Bin in the Dickens-inspired comedy ‘Bleak Expectations’. He’s also a successful multi-award winning stand up, who has toured supporting Josie Long.
And Suzi Ruffell. Already having stormed it twice at the Brighton Comedy Festival Opening Gala, and toured with Romesh Ranganathan, Ruffell is always a treat as she brings her own distinctive young gay voice to the masses.
Plus, the ever-brilliant Zoe Lyons. Never to be missed.
