The Importance of Being Earnest

A comedy of errors, confusion, love, social posturing, and the importance of a name. Oscar Wilde’s famous play is delightfully brought to life by Brighton Little Theatre, who transported the audience back to a gentler time. A great performance, with brilliant delivery and timing of Wilde’s classic dialogue, especially by those playing Lady Bracknell, Algie, and Gwendoline. As always, the Brighton Little Theatre is a tiny escape of culture and calm in the centre of the city, providing a perfect distraction to busy life. With lovingly created settings and costumes, this performance was a very enjoyable rendition of Wilde’s text.
