Final Countdown

So next Friday is the first official day of the Edinburgh Fringe, meaning we have a furious flurry of Edinburgh preview shows that are practically in their finished magical states playing in such varied locations as the Gilded Balloon, the Pleasance Courtyard and The Caves, to name a few.
Rather than head north for the festivities, gorge yourself on the cornucopia of comedy before it heads up, playing at Komedia, The Caroline Of Brunswick, The Dukebox Theatre, and The Old Market.
At Komedia you can catch the likes of Elliott Steel, Joel Dommett, Lucy Porter, Zoe Lyons, Eric Lampaert and Sarah Kendall.
Hop over to the Caroline of Brunswick and there’s an embarrassment of treats there too from the likes of Andrew O’Neill, Fraser Geesin, Phil Jerrod and Carly Smallman.

The Dukebox plays host to Douglas Walker and Simon Plotkin, bringing forth their own fresh sketch and character comedy.
And The Old Market is running previews from fringe favourites Holly Burn and Mat Ewins. No need to go north, it’s all right here!
