Seeing Stars

These are not the times to be knocked down by a truck. I know there’s never really a good time to suffer multiple injuries, but recently those questions they ask to check whether someone is concussed keep coming to me. Do you know who the Prime Minister is? Who is the leader of the opposition? What day of the week is it? I’m not sure I could answer these questions with any certainty even when I haven’t been hit roundly about the head by an eight-wheeled vehicle.
The other day I even had to check my email to confirm I was scratching the right year on my parking permit. You can always get the right date on an email – useful tip. Unlike the annoying news apps that just tell you something momentous happened
‘2 hours ago’ rather than confirming the date.
Yes, I get scatty. I find myself doing too many things at once and in my eagerness to fix the broken wi-fi while sending an invoice I forget to send my sister a birthday card (it’s alright, I’ve got her a present she loves). But when no one is sure of the answers to the big questions, maybe we all need a knock on the head.
