Doggy Tales

Oh my Pugness!

Pugs are often described by the latin phrase ‘multum in parvo’ which translated means: ‘a lot of dog in a small space’. This description aptly describes their fun and charming personalities. Although the breed is strong willed, these dogs are rarely aggressive, which makes them the perfect family pet.

This week meet Pug half sisters, Daphne (fawn) and Betty (black) owned by Col Lapse:

“We got Daphne when she was six weeks old, she will be nine this November. We went all the way to Yorkshire to get her, then nine months later we went back to get Betty, who is now eight.

“We named Daphne after Jack Lemmon in the film ‘Some Like It Hot’ and named Betty after Betty Boo. Betty likes to lick Daphne’s ear and can high five anyone for a treat. Daphne has lost most of her bottom teeth so her tongue sticks out and she loves peanut butter!

“If they were famous people, they would be Del Boy and Rodney Trotter when they dressed up as Batman and Robin in the famous sketch: they think they are superhero dogs but in fact they are super comedy fools!”
