Nobody’s Perfect

Nobody’s Perfect draws heavily on cross dressing farces ‘Tootsie’ and ‘Some like it Hot’ whilst never reaching those heights in wit, as it requires an expert touch to weave together all the elements. The play also suffers from a flawed premise as Leonard’s reason for pretending to be a woman is to prove a feminist wrong. That is pretty un-PC. The cast however have a good time and I especially enjoyed Tilly Standing as the daughter Dee Dee who showed that the younger generation can show the most maturity. Overall it is an enjoyable but imperfect attempt.
