Celebcity: 15 seconds of fame…
If you watched the TV show Food Unwrapped ‘The Truth About Sugar’ on Channel 4 the other day, then you might have seen some familiar Brighton faces! Comedians Dave Thompson, Matt Whistler (who I’ve written about in my column previously) and myself made a very brief appearance in the episode. During the filming we got to try all sort of surgery treats, which was lovely! I’m sure my dentist won’t be too happy with me though!
If you missed the programme then you can watch it on catch up and see our 15 seconds of fame!

Also this week I was the MC at the Komedia for The Funny Women show. Funny Women is the UK’s leading female comedy community and has been going for 14 years. They run comedy courses, competitions, conferences and of course shows.
The show I hosted was sold out, it was hardly surprising, as there was an amazing line up of very funny women. Comedy duo Shelf, Cressida Wetton, Roz Ryan, Kelly Convey, Sooz Kempner, headlined by Suzy Bennett. All of which were fantastically funny. I was so lucky to work with these fabulously talented ladies and I hope I get to work with them again.
It was such a great night to be involved with as the evening was also raising money for RISE, the Domestic Violence charity. If you’ve always fancied yourself as a comedian, Funny Women offer a range of workshops and master classes that aim to get more women into comedy or using comedy to improve their confidence.
