In May, Sussex based print, design and marketing specialists Evonprint launched their Love Sussex competition for a second year running. The competition sees 13 beautiful photographs taken by Sussex residents published in a charity calendar.

The charity which will benefit from the sale of the calendars is You Raise Me Up. This great cause offers financial and emotional support to families that have lost a young adult between the ages of 16 and 25.

Budding Sussex photographers were asked to enter their images that best depicted the theme of ‘having fun in Sussex’. The competition received over 70 entries making the judging process tough. However, thirteen photos have been chosen and these are now being made into 2017 calendars for You Raise Me Up to sell.

Evonprint, the family-run business behind the competition, is delighted to announce the 13 winners are:

Steve Rowland, Managing Director at Evonprint, commented:

“We had a great response to our calendar competition again this year with some outstanding entries. Choosing just 13 was difficult but we are very pleased with our final decisions. I would like to thank everyone who took part and say congratulations to our winners. We hope to raise a substantial sum for You Raise Me Up to help them support the many families who use their vital services.”

Jane Brooks, Trustee of You Raise Me Up, added:

“We were delighted to have been voted in to benefit from the Evonprint Love Sussex calendar. We are a small charity and very reliant on support from others, so we can pass on that support in turn. Thank you to everyone who voted for us, and to those who entered such lovely images to create a fantastic and very sellable calendar.”

The calendar, priced at only £5, will be available from November at You Raise Me Up’s coffee shop, 3 Millfields, Polegate, Eastbourne, BN26 6AS; through their Facebook page @ You Raise Me Up; at Eastbourne Rugby Club on Park Avenue, BN22 9QN and at the Polegate Christmas Fair on 3rd December.
