Invest in two winter coats to see you through the varied weather and to cater to every occasion. One should be a classic rain mac or trench coat. Depending on your style personality, choose a bold colour like yellow to cheer up a grey day or in opposition, timeless nude. Your other coat should be luxurious, soft and oversized. A good coat can be worn for everything from work, to nights out and Christmas parties. One with a detachable faux fur collar makes it easy to glam up or dress down.

Accessories such as scarves, hats and gloves aren’t just for practical reasons. Yes they keep you warm, but accessories are also the affordable way to introduce colour and print into your wardrobe more subtly and affordably. Try this season’s western and paisley prints or add a bit of fun with pom pom trims and glittery thread.

Hosiery and footwear gets vamped up with metallic being the key trend. Wear glittery ankle socks on show with heels, gold or silver boots with coloured tights and comfortable and sporty high tops and trainers with the midas touch.
