A Princess Undone

Starring Stephanie Beacham as Princess Margaret, the play is set on a stormy night in 1993 and revolves around her attempts to protect ‘The Firm’ from scandal. We are now familiar with Royal Scandal but at that time we were just getting over the Annus Horribilis’. She is abetted by a faithful man servant played by Gary Webster, but then an unexpected visitor shows up. This is very much Stephanie’s show in a tour-de-force performance, portraying  a grand old lady who despite her high birth is not above doing anything to preserve the world she inhabits, even if she is not always sure it is worth preserving.
