Charity Chuckle: Stand Up to End Violence Against Women with Bridget Christie

It is no mean feat, but Charity Chuckle have achieved it: they have claimed the prize for the best comedy night I have been to. Bridget Christie, Julie Jepson, Jo Neary, Sajeela Kershi, Athena Kugblenu, Harriet Braine, Laura Lexx, and MC Jen Brister were comedy perfection from beginning to end. Among the hilarious rants about politicians, immigrants, white privilege, and apathy towards marriage, came expressive dance by mullet-wearing Miley Cyrus (Jo Neary), and a song from Harriet Braine that perfectly articulated our feelings about Tracey Emin: who knew we needed one? The audience left not only feeling completely uplifted, but that they had supported such worthy charities.
