Peter Pan

The Peter Pan ensemble are a credit to the production and provide a very important anchor for the ‘magic’ to happen, which is principally the comedic and at points hilariously anarchic interaction between Hook (Patrick Monahan), Smee (Richard McCourt of Dick & Dom fame) and Able Mable (Simon Howe). Between them the three have managed to strike the perfect balance of silliness (McCourt), slapstick (Howe) and improvised one liners (Monahan) with just enough near the knuckle comedy to keep the adults lively.

Monahan, with a voice like a Mancunian snake being strangled, excels as Hook and revels in straying off the script to delight of everyone and the clear terror induced in his fellow cast members. He even managed yours truly on the stage for a fun skit. It was a delight, a show the whole family will enjoy. Congratulations to all involved.
