Sofie Hagen – Shimmer Shatter

From the reduced-anxiety pre-show prep, to the moment Hagen wandered onto the stage in low-fi mode, stopping her intro music with an adjustment to an iPod, this was a beautifully personal and detailed show. Hagen is quirky, as celebrated in her podcasts, and it is her honesty about her differences, her celebration of them despite the battles that they have put in her path, that is both uplifting and highly entertaining. She has achieved that tricky show that contains both broad appeal and that something that touches each audience member on an individual level. It’s not are to see why her star is so vastly rising in the comedy world.
