Local Author’s book ‘The Handsworth Times’ is this year’s City Read

Here’s an initiative that’s a real page turner…

It’s hard to imagine a book club with 150,000 members but that’s exactly the philosophy behind city-reads.

The idea’s simple, encourage as many people in the city to read the same book at the same time.

This year’s big read was announced as Sharon Duggal’s “The Handsworth Times”.
