Khalil’s Tenant Reward Scheme

Tenants should receive more services and benefits to make their home more comfortable, save money and their life easier. That’s why we’ve introduced the Khalil’s Tenant Reward Scheme – it’s our way of saying thank you.

The idea for a Reward Scheme came to me at my local coffee shop as I picked up my free Chai Latte having filled my loyalty card with stamps. It occurred to me that good drivers are able to receive lower car insurance, supermarkets use point schemes to reward their customers and employers often use similar schemes to motivate and retain their staff.

“We should be rewarding all good tenants,” I announced as I entered our office. And, just a few months later, here we are with a scheme that does exactly that.

Let me explain it to you.

Khalil’s Tenant Reward Scheme
This scheme is aimed at rental properties that are occupied by three or more people who do not form a single household. Such properties are often called HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation). It will cover student houses and flats as well as house shares aimed at professionals.

To make the tenants’ life easier we will let the property on a bills inclusive basis (including broadband), offer a cleaning service every two weeks and even maintain the garden if the property has one.

On top of these extra services we will reduce the cost of letting fees by 10% for the tenants. We have also lowered the security deposit taken at the start of the tenancy to just one month, and we guarantee it will be returned to them as long as there is no damage to the property. Tenants will also receive 10% discount on check out fees and we have waived the end of tenancy referencing fees.

But here’s the real way that we are rewarding good tenants: when they leave the property they will receive 10% cash back from the monthly rent, they will also have the choice to either cash the money or use it for the next property they rent from Khalil.

And that is a very real saving.

So, how does the scheme work?
It costs FROM £20 a week. All the services and benefits detailed above will be provided to those who choose to be a part of the scheme.
We expect each tenant to take out tenant liability insurance at the start of their tenancy and, to qualify for the 10% cash back, they must pay their rent on time without rent arrears or late payments.

It is as simple, and as attractive, as that.

Our tenants are rewarded with no bills to pay, regular cleaning and gardening services and less fees.

We are rewarded with good tenants.
