Josie Long: Something Better
Arrive early and you’ll be greeted by Long, already onstage, blasting music out of her phone and singing karaoke. Don’t be wrong-footed. There’s a darker heart here, with Long, having started out wanting to write a positive show, being forced to face Brexit head-on.
Those still hurting from that will find some release (and a lot of laughs) in her account of her horror and political self doubt after the events of last year. Long bounces from topic to topic, throwing in some fun diversions about aging and the wonders of Pinot Grigio, in a way that may leave you a little fatigued but never left behind. Then, at the end, she’ll karaoke you out, too.
