Philip Hammond’s First Budget and the Affects on our Local Economy

Philip Hammond announced his first budget as chancellor on Wednesday, which included a hike in national insurance contributions of some self-employed people – a measure which contradicted the conservative party’s manifesto.

Brighton and Hove has the biggest proportion of self-employed people in the Sussex and is well above the UK average.
