Babe: The Sheep Pig

This production has a lot going for it. The cast are great, the puppetry and design is excellent and the story is (of course) a knockout. And whilst I would heartily encourage children of all ages to see it, it comes with a caveat. There are scenes that WILL unnerve them (parent research advisable I’d say). The sheep rustler puppet is particularly sinister looking (but is a fantastic puppet and excellently portrayed by the handler). The evening show could have started an hour earlier as tiredness crept in (7pm start/9pm finish) but the climax is raucous and energetic. My five year old was entranced, never bored and thoroughly enjoyed it… as did I.
