Going for gold: Haywards Heath’s couple ‘All At Sea’ over top awards win
A local husband and wife team have reached the pinnacle of success in Belvoir’s national awards scheme – being named ‘Gold Franchise of the Year’.
Beating off hard fought competition from 170 other regional offices in Belvoir’s UK- wide network, Karyn and Kevin Kelley, whose business is on South Road, Haywards Heath, also ‘did the double’ – collecting a second award for their contribution to the Belvoir Group.
And to add to the thrill of being declared this year’s top all-round performers, Karyn and Kevin got to hear of their awards success whilst in the middle of the Caribbean sea – on a cruise ship celebrating a milestone birthday!
A ship-to-shore call with the liner was set up and Belvoir’s Chief Operating Officer, Dorian Gonsalves, broke the news to the couple in front of a packed awards evening staged at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire.

“We were both stunned and overwhelmed by the news,” said Karyn. “Whilst we are very proud of our business achievements to date, we are still growing and had not anticipated we might be in the running for the top award. Having achieved this recognition on the same day that I realised a lifelong dream of visiting Havana in Cuba makes this a day I will never forget.”
Dorian Gonsalves was joined by TV personality Gyles Brandreth who hosted the awards ceremony and they both used the link to congratulate the couple on an outstanding year of achievement.
“An early winner of our ‘New Franchise of the Year’ title not long after joining our network, you have both gone on to smash every target you have ever set –providing fantastic levels of quality service to local landlords, tenants and property investors in your area,” said Dorian.
Kevin added: “We love our business and being able to provide valuable guidance to anyone either investing in, owning or renting a property is extremely satisfying.
“But all of our success to date could not have been achieved without the support of our own fantastic team and the backing and vast resources of Belvoir Central Office and other, fellow franchise owners in the Group.”
