Brighton & Hove City Council has been left reeling after their bid for funding to regenerate the historic arches on madeira terrances was denied.

the city had bid to improve the dilapidated seafront east of the Palace Pier, and despite The Department for Communities and Local Government announcing a 40 Million pound grant for coastal communities, Brighton’s bid did not make the cut.
