This Boy Tom

A polished performance from a professional troupe of talented young actors, directed by Natalie Sexton. Tom (Eliot Milward) is blamed for starting a fire in which his brother Alfie (Frankie Milward) died. The show acknowledges, but doesn’t focus on his brother’s death. Instead it’s a life-affirming musical about injustice and morality. The audience find themselves rooting for the young protagonist when we see the emotional impact that bullying has on him. Eliot’s performance is faultless, while Jessica (Fleur Aston) is every inch the school bully. This Boy Tom addresses the vital issue of social isolation in schools and is therefore essential viewing for 10-16 year olds.
