Worthing town centre to receive new name as part of revamp

The owners of Worthing shopping centre have announced that the area is to be renamed in line with their plans to make the centre a new restaurant quarter.

The Montague Shopping Centre, which connects the towns seafront to Montague Place, is to now be renamed the Montague Quarter.

Planning permission was granted, last year, by Adur and Worthing district council to modernise the centre into a new restaurant quarter.

The Centre manager Ian goodridge has said that these changes are the first steps in changing the face of the iconic worthing shopping centre.
