Wait Until Dark
You may be familiar with the Audrey Hepburn movie, in which case you will be pleased to hear that this play about a blind woman being terrorised by crooks works equally well on stage. It delivers the required amount of suspense, twists and turns. The cast is uniformly excellent. Partially sighted actress Karina Jones is perfect as the heroine and suffers marvellously. Particularly winning is Shannon Rewcroft as 12-year-old Gloria, the plucky neighbour who is only too willing to get involved in the adventure. In fact these two prove that girl power is not such a new concept.
