Name your Christmas Lights

Residents of Brighton and Hove have been invited to choose which word they want to see up in lights this Christmas.

Brilliant Brighton, which organises the city’s Christmas lights have asked locals to take part in a Twitter poll to decide which word should be up in lights this Christmas.

Running until Wednesday (6th September), the poll will see one of three words and phrases – Ho Ho Ho, Glitter or Diversity – chosen by residents. The winning word will join some of last year’s favourites such as Love, Fairy, Ding Dong and Peace.

The three words up for public vote were shortlisted by the Brilliant Brighton board of directors, following an invitation to city centre members to submit their suggestions.

Which word do you think best encompasses Brighton? Visit Brilliant Brighton’s Twitter  to have your say!

The lights will be switched on in November with more details (including the winning word) to be revealed nearer the time.
