Machetes and crowbars swung at Good Wood’s cash security

Two security guards were attacked by machete weilding men at the GoodWood Revival Motor Festival this weekend.

At 12:30am on Saturday the 9th, police were called after two security guards, who had been transporting cash around the festival site, were attacked by several men wearing balaclavas and brandishing crowbars and and a machete.

Police say that £75,000 has been stolen. Detective Constable Ceri Spratt said; “We are asking for any witnesses or for anyone else who may have any information about the robbery to contact us online or by calling 101, quoting serial 29 of 29/09.
