Brassed Off

Featuring Eastbourne’s own silver band, the production of this 1996 film is packed full of heart, soul, warmth and passion. Raw and heartfelt performances from the cast and band, with a bittersweet edge as we consider how far – or not – things have changed since pit closures. Fans of the film will enjoy the way the show sticks closely to the film, while fans of brass band music will enjoy the live sound. Laughter and tears, triumph and failure are all there and you can’t help but be drawn into the story and feel for the very realistic characters.
