Jizz

Jizz is poet John Davies’ new book. It’s also a multi-faceted, muti-media show, featuring poetry, music, singing, and dancing. And launches Davies’ collection of poetry with style and passion. Jizz centres around nature, and in particular birds, but there are nods to childhood, hospitals, family, and sheds. (Davies is also known as Shedman). The show was atmospheric, ethereal at times, and very creative. Different elements complimented and dove-tailed nicely, and brought the audience into the poems – from tin whistle, to modern interpretative dance, ballads, and lifting Irish poetry, this played to all the senses, with emotion and passion.
